IMDB rating: 6.00 Plot: After a misunderstanding aboard an airplane that escalates out of control, the mild-mannered Dave Buznik is ordered by Judge Daniels to attend anger management sessions run by Doctor Buddy Rydell, which are filled with highly eccentric and volatile men and women. Buddy’s unorthodox approach to therapy is confrontational and abrasive and Dave is bewildered by it. Then, after yet another mishap, Judge Daniels orders Dave to step up his therapy or wind up in jail. So, Buddy moves in with Dave to help him battle his inner demons. Buddy himself has no inner demons since he acts out at every opportunity and that includes making lewd comments about Dave’s girlfriend Linda and goading Dave into confronting every slight, past or present, head-on. But Buddy finally goes too far and Dave must decide whether to crawl back into his shell or stand up for himself. Could it be that Buddy’s confounding and contradictory treatment is just what the doctor ordered? |

how long do domestic violence and anger management courses last on probation?
my friend should be getting bail and i wanted so advice really he has been told before he can live with his girlfriend until he has completed a Anger management and Domestic Violence course through probation. Does any one know how long the courses are ? ? Some one please help me i dont know much about this stuff and i really want to help this person. . . .
These vary from provider to provider. Some may last only 1 day others may last for as much as 90 days with about half those spent in 1 hour sessions. Contact the agency they are involved with and they can tell you more about the program that specific agency offers.

hopefully, a long time. your friend may consider that the relationship with the gf is volatile. perhaps living apart & focusing on himself can help the healing process & keep him out of trouble. when it’s broken, it’s okay to fix it!

He was told he CAN live with his girlfriend? That doesn’t sound right. But the courses will last as long as the judge says. Also during the sessions if they think he needs more time they can submit that to the courts and make him go longer.

Ask the courts administrator about who to talk regarding these courses.
Usually it is based on the Psychological Tests, a program is then developed for each individuals needs based upon assessment, to assist that person in dealings, rehabilitation etc., so the program(s) could be quite detailed, or they could be very simple, depending on the needs assessment.

I have actually been there. I was charged with the same thing and Probation told me to do an Anger Management course within 6 months. So they were all pretty much the same when I had called around. The course was every Tuesday for 1 hour for 10 weeks. As far as the Domestic Violence course, I cant help you there.

The one approved by my court is 26 weeks long.
