IMDB rating: 4.30 Plot: Ten years ago, Jake Hopper was a CIA agent who was stationed in Thailand. Then one day, things went sour, and his partner, Sunti barely escaped with his life…after accidentally killing a woman. Jake called it quits and returned to the United States when his wife died, and Sunti became a Buddhist monk to atone for his sins. For the past 10 years, Jake has run a successful private security business, and has been raising his daughter Jessica, who is now an adult. While hiking in Thailand, Jessica and her friend Sarah Winthorpe are kidnapped. A group of Islamic fundamentalists known as the Abu Karaf claims responsibility. Sarah is the daughter of United States senator John Winthorpe. For ransom, the Abu Karaf demand the release of 20 prisoners from American custody. The US Secretary of State urges restraint — he won’t negotiate. Tom Collins, an ex-colleague of Jake’s, recognizes Jessica on the ransom tape and tips Jake off. Jake knows that he must rescue the girls himself. An old CIA buddy puts Jake in contact with Leon Washington, an active CIA agent who is working in Thailand. Jake goes to Bangkok, and escapes an assassination attempt. Leon arranges a meeting for himself with with Soku — the internal security chief for General Jantapan. Jantapan is a rebel military general who is making a play to be one of the most powerful men in Thailand. Secretly, Jantapan is messing with some dangerous spiritual forces. Soku provides Jake with a cover story, but the CIA wants Jake out of it — they are planning to take out the Abu Karaf with the aid of the Thai army, and they don’t want a civilian in the middle. Jake is a spiritual man, so he contacts his spiritual master Paijan Paitoon. As Jake is in trouble, Paitoon offers to arrange a divination from the oracle of the order. Jake enlists the help of Sunti. Jake gets Lulu, the girlfriend of arms dealer Fitch McQuoid, to steal information leading to the Abu Karaf. Jake and Sunti follow the leads to a warehouse where they discover evidence of highly sophisticated weaponry. With their enemies now after Lulu, Jake takes Lulu under his wing. Jake shares some of his info with Leon. Can he trust Leon? Another attempt is made on Jake’s life — and this time, Jake is sure that Leon was involved. Finally, the Abu Karaf contact Jake to arrange a meeting — the pieces are coming together, and Jake figures out that it was not the Abu Karaf who kidnapped Jessica and Sarah. Jantapan tries to send the spirit of an ancient warrior demon to kill Jake, but the ceremony goes wrong and the spirit enters Jantapan himself, giving Jantapan amazing physical and spiritual powers. Jake and Sunti go to meet Mongkol, the leader of the Abu Karaf. Mongkol confirms that ever since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Jantapan has worked to corner the narcotics and arms markets. It was Jantapan who kidnapped the girls, blaming the Abu Karaf so the army would wipe out his competition. Mongkol knows where the girls are, and he gives Jake plans and intelligence. They both need the girls alive. Jake must engage in a battle that will put both his physical and spiritual powers to the ultimate test. |

What would you say my dog is mixed with? Mystery Father…?
I got my dog a bit over a year ago. We got her at 4 weeks old because the mother dog had accidentally gotten pregnant at 7 months old, gave birth at 9 months old, and started to try and kill her 11 pups when they were 3 weeks old.
The mother is a 1/2 Border Collie x 1/2 Husky mix that looked more towards the border collie.
They didn’t know the mother was pregnant until a few weeks before she gave birth, and only after they’d gotten a chihuahua female puppy! Boy did they have their hands full.
Anyway, we aren’t sure what the father was, and they never saw him or any strays running around.
About my dog:
- About 25 inches tall at the shoulder
- Curled tail. Bone is actually curled the last half of the tail. Sometimes she lets it down and the bottom half is curled, sometimes she curls it over her back.
- About 50lbs maybe. She was 40lbs in August when she got spayed and was still growing at the time.
-Ears that are floppy, but tried to go up then failed. So they’re kinda like an uncropped pit bull’s ears, where they go up then to the side, then back down?
-Big paws for her body
-Medium fur, but her tail fur and fur on back of her legs and butt and never stop growing. Fur is short on her face.
-She is black with a light tan undercoat. Her face and back do not have an undercoat though, so while she has the appearance of a dark brown dog, she still has a completely black face and back. The fur that grows long doesn’t have much of the black in it and grows in a creamish tan color with a few black hairs. She also has a white chin, white paws with brown speckles, and a white chest. Her stomach is the same creamish tan as the long fur, and looks like it may start growing super long like the non stop growing fur. It took a long time for her belly fur to grow in, and then she was spayed so they shaved it, but it’s getting long now. her neck is brindle, but is not that noticeable with the long fur. Her collar wore the fur down short when she wore a chain one, and you could tell more then. All 4 legs are also brindle, which is more noticeable. around her eyes she has a tan and white undercoat. As a pup she had an orangish bandit mask, but it changed.
-Long snout, more pointy than wide. Really long strong canines. Strong jaw.
-Can jump like a beast! Never jumps a fence or baby gate, but can jump off a deck or dock, and can jump 6ft in the air!
-If we let her, she’d be an excellent hunting dog. She points a lot, bays, and has a very high prey drive (though is good with our cats and friend’s tiny dogs) She’s been chasing geese since 8 weeks old. She at that age ran straight into the field and latched onto a goose’s foot. It punted her away and flew off and since she’s has a fit if they even fly above the house. She tries to chase all squirrels and rabbits, and deer.
-She barks, bays, whines, and howls. She is very vocal.
-She is a lap dog. she wants to be next to you or on you at all times
- She is an excellent watch dog
- She is VERY fast. She runs laps around our other dog and tires him out quickly. He’s younger than her, only 10 months old.
Mother was Mostly White, with a black head and butt. he also had the tan/white around the eyes, but no undercoat color.
Siblings were mostly black with a few white markings. One was tan with a black face, and had wrinkly skin, and one was marked like a Bernese mountain dog or a rott with white markings. Half the litter had short hair, 1/4 had long, and 1/4 had medium. None of the pups ears fully stood, but some were fully floppy, some were like my dog’s half up half down ones. ALL pups had curly tails. Mother did not have a curly tail. All pups became over 40lbs.
Here are pics!
I’ve pointed out a few specific ones, but feel free to look at all the pics in the folder of her and her mother/litter

Brindle grew in far later. No real good pic of her legs to show, sorry. Litter mates are in the album if you’d like to look. At one point, we had the vet glue her ears (alternative to taping) to see if it could get them up the rest of the way. After the glue dissolved, her ears were only up a few days, and then became what they are now. We were not going to crop.
We had her DNA Tested at one point, but we weren’t sure of how accuract it was because it didn’t mention border collie at all. It came up (in order of potency)
-Husky
-Weimerainer
-German Shepherd
-Akita
100% mutt/mongrel….unknown & permanently UNGUESSABLE.

there is definitely some spaniel in them.

What a beautiful dog! I would honestly say there has to be some Akita or something in her. I would not be surprised if the father was all or at least part Akita. Especially based on the "gaurding" instincts you mentioned.
Hope I helped!

Pretty dog, but she is 100% mutt and very hard to tell, what she’s made up of.
The vocal side to her, will be the husky. The speed, Collie.
First picture, I thought Spaniel, would explain her hunting instincts. But Spaniels don’t point, re-think Setter. Her tail, markings, broad head and puppy ears match Akita.
That’s my conclusion, Collie x Husky x Setter x Akita.. There are probably more breeds thrown in there too!
