Noise coming from a wall beside only one room in my house, how to find/fix the problem?
The noise is coming from a first floor room near where some pipes are (apparently). I can hear and feel the pipes rumbling when I run the first floor bath (I have a 2 floor house).
However, when I even slightly push the wall slightly without the pipes running it slowly creaks…same goes if there is a wind over 25 mph or so outside. Oddly enough I checked the attic and the room above and there was no creaking.
Could this be anything serious and how can I fix it or best further inspect to figure out the cause?
Well it might be costly considering your strapping the pipe which could run the length of the wall.

Do you have hot water heating system? If so- air gets in pipes and has to be bleed out. You can do it urself. Other than that- I don’t know- house settling but you say only one room. I wish I was more help to ya. Good Luck !!!

sounds like you need to pull the wall open there, that’s the only way your going to find the problem and fix it,
